White Fish with Cashews, Garlic, and Basil

Last night for dinner I made white fish with rice and lentils.  I couldn’t find the recipe for white fish that we had made before, so I looked up a variety of white fish recipes and took what I wanted from each.  I didn’t know that oils such as “basil oil” and “garlic oil” existed, but my mom had both and suggested that I use one.  I ended up using both the oils with a seasoning that we had.  I liked the resulting taste of the fish, but I think that the rice I ate it with might have been a little mushier than I normally like.  Aside from that, I would make the fish again.  Creating the recipe, defrosting the frozen fish, cooking the rice, and frying the fish took me a little over an hour, but making the fish itself should only take about 20 minutes to make.

Ingredients: 1 tsp butter or margarine, 1 lb white fish, 1 tsp Grandma Edna’s “Oh So Delish” Seasoning for Fish, 1 tbsp garlic oil, 1 tbsp basil oil, 1 tbsp cashews
